All about priorities
Today has been all about priorities for me. First stop was a lovely long lie in followed by catching up on Photoblog and a trip to the supermarket to buy something to eat for lunch. Since lunch my aim has been to get my photo for the day taken care of, do a huge pile of ironing and then settle down for the rest of the day with a good cuppa and my pile of photography magazines and books. I therefore wanted a photo I could take fairly quickly so I decided to use my favourite photogenic kitchen implement – the fork! This is one I’ve had for years – I think my Mum had it for years before she gave it to me. It’s a proper Sheffield Steel one (I’m not sure they make any steel in Sheffield these days) and gets used most days. I shot it on top of a plastic folder I use for music as I like the way the curves of the fork and the coloured curves on the plastic interact. I know it’s a completely barmy shot but now it’s done I can get on with the ironing (while listening to a photography podcast – not that I’m obsessed of course!) and then enjoy a spot of relaxation later.
