Kevin’s car had to go into the garage in Emsworth today for its MOT so I took my camera with me when I went to collect him in case I saw Scrabblehound again. Scrabblehound is the rather elderly dog who sits outside the boatyard opposite the garage and she’s featured on my blog once before. She was pacing up and down the pavement this morning and seemed in a much mellower mood than the last time I said hello to her – despite her senior citizen looks she can still be quite a noisy guard dog! There’s always a sign up on the boatyard railings letting passers by what she’s been up to lately and today it told of a recent close encounter with the law. Apparently the local dog warden was about to take her away, assuming she was a stray. Thankfully Scrabble’s owner spotted her imminent abduction and politely pointed out that she’s been sitting on that spot for the last eleven years!
