Things that go round and round (theme)
I had initially thought of doing the obvious thing and searching for things that are round to shoot for today’s theme. However, while I was at school this morning it occurred to me between pupils that there was a musical solution too. London’s Burning is a tune that is well known to virtually all British children – I would imagine most people will have sung or played it (often very badly on my favourite instrument, the recorder!) before they leave school. This type of tune is a round (sometimes also known as a canon) which can be sung round and round in several parts – in the case of London’s Burning, four parts. When I got home from school I quickly typeset a version of it on the computer and shot this on my music room windowsill using my 50mm lens under the watchful eye of our cat!
