Today’s Tuesday Inspiration theme has been set by Lynda (thank you Lynda!) and, as usual, it is up to all of you out there in Photoblogland to figure out what it is! I had hoped I might be able to combine today’s theme with Caturday but Gracie (sensible creature that she sometimes
is) decided she’d rather curl up asleep under our duvet rather than sit in front of the subject of the theme! Caturday will have to wait…..
My first two shots are of the door to the library at Bedales School, where I teach on a Tuesday (although obviously I don’t teach in the library – I think there might be complaints about the noise!). It’s a lovely brick-built arts and crafts building and has a wonderful, heavy oak door. I wonder how many thousands of students’ hands have caressed this door handle as they’ve gone inside to study?
My last four shots were found in the village of West Ashling while I was on my way to somewhere completely different. As I drove through the village I spotted two derelict buildings and knew I’d found the rest of my set for today so I went no further. As you all know, I’m a sucker for peeling paint and rotting wood – I just can’t resist the textures they create. This lot were just crying out for a black and white conversion so who am I to ignore their pleas?!
