Apologies for the pun – I couldn’t resist! Before breakfast this morning I took a stroll down to the seafront in Felixstowe, camera in hand, to see if I could find anything photogenic to shoot. I did struggle in the time available as it was incredibly gloomy and by the time I got back to the hotel it was bucketing down with rain. However, I made it as far as the pier and thought it might make a reasonable minimalist landscape shot. Felixstowe Pier is nowhere near as well kept and smart as the one I visited in Southwold yesterday and I couldn’t get onto it at that time of the morning so I contented myself with this shot, looking out into the gloomy North Sea.
