Procrastination

I couldn't decide which of these shots I liked best so I posted both of them!

It's not often that I 'bullseye' a subject in the frame but this just seemed to work well this way - I'll be interested to know which shot you prefer.

I had designated today as the day I would write all my school reports. However, I seem to have mastered the art of procrastination with some skill, finding all sorts of alternative ways to fill my time – a visit to the gym, typesetting a music theory worksheet for my pupils and taking these photos! These pink flowers absolutely flourish in our front garden at this time of year. Our neighbour Colin, who lives across the road, gave some of them to our house’s previous owner years ago. Each year we hack them back to ground level when they’ve finished flowering and still they grow back up each spring. I can’t remember their name but they add a lovely splash of colour to our front garden and they proved to be a welcome distraction this afternoon! Now there was something I was supposed to be doing……..

Sharon Have to say, I really prefer the first one :-) I think in the 2nd one the flower looks a bit strange - unattached, like it's just floating in space!

Ryana It is not only nice to look at your photos, it is particularly pleasing to read your daily thoughts and actions too.
thanks for sharing. ;)

MoMac I like them both , the second reminds me of a painting I did I called it a "limbo" rose because it seemed to be suspended in mid-air too, like this one.
