The inspiration for today’s texture photo came when I saw a man in Chichester this morning selling bubble guns – plastic toys which shoot out lots of bubbles when filled with soapy water. It got me thinking about the texture of bubbles and it suddenly came to me – I needed some tension sheet! For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term it is simply bubble wrap – the plastic sheeting used to protect things when you’re packing them up for posting. However, in our house it’s known as tension sheet – the name given to it in the British TV sitcom Red Dwarf on account of its stress relieving properties when you pop the bubbles!
