I was rather stuck on today’s theme until it suddenly occurred to me that we had the perfect subject quietly growing away in the garden. We planted our runner bean plants about a month ago around two wigwams (made of our own home-grown bamboo no less) but they seemed to take an eternity to realise they were supposed to actually grow up the poles! They’ve finally learnt their lesson and are now winding their way up towards the top of the poles – let’s hope they provide us with lots of tasty food later in the summer. In taking this shot I realised just how hard it is to take a vaguely artistic shot of a long, skinny plant like this but I hope I’ve done it some justice.
