Quality time

When I got home this afternoon Gracie came and joined me, stretching out on the carpet in front of the sofa. I knelt down on the floor to enjoy some quality time with her, tickling her tummy and listening to her doing an impression of a Geiger counter as she purred contentedly. I had my camera close at hand so I decided to lie down at her level and take a few shots. I felt this particular shot worked best in black and white, although I can’t quite put my finger on the reason why!

revenant How cute she is. Maybe it's the strong visual components.

????? Very enjoyable view and beautiful shot, Helen. It works well in B/W and I like the DOF of the books... A sort of library cat ;-)
Today I stayed all the day long at home and my cats were my sweet and funny company :-)

The quality, not the longevity, of one's life is what is important. It's better to add life to our days, more than days to our life, I say ;-)

elizzi lovely..my cats are both black and white...havent taken any decent ones of them lately...trying to be extra nice to them since they will be going to the cattery on Sunday, not looking forward to the usual antics..ie getting them into their boxes..the joys

Jarvo Neat shot. There's nothing like a cat to help you forget the stresses of work.
Jarvo · 2010-07-08: 18:56

SunflowerGirl Wow, great contrasts. The black spot on her face and also her black collar really stand out. Well done!

catdad Great shot !! cd
catdad · 2010-07-10: 09:24
alison Maybe because she's black and white the background in colour would detract from her, so everything in B&W makes her the focus? Great picture, gorgeous cat.
alison · 2010-07-10: 18:49
????? oh I just love her :):):)
