After an incredibly busy week (all my usual teaching plus four concerts!) I enjoyed the luxury of a day off today. I had a lazy morning then spent some time backing up all my photos – something I’ve been meaning to do for ages. I eventually turned my thoughts to today’s photo and decided to raid my ‘bits and pieces’ pot where I keep potential subjects for still life photos. I found these two pebbles on various trips to the beach over recent months and I thought they made a nice contrast. The small one is only about a centimetre long but it’s covered in lots of interesting patterns which I thought worked well against the simplicity of the larger white pebble.
