I‘ve spent most of today chained to my desk sorting out my tax return so by the time I got around to thinking about today’s photo late this afternoon it was decidedly grey and gloomy outside. I’ve been meaning to take another photo of our sunflowers all summer but it’s always been too breezy so I got around the problem today by cutting one and bringing it inside. I decided a simple black background would be best to contrast with the gloriously sunny colour of the petals.
