Kevin and I popped up to the Goodwood motor racing circuit this morning for the monthly breakfast club and managed to have a good look before rain set in for the day. The theme today was ‘Souped-up Sunday - modified and custom vehicles of all ages’. However, thanks to the threat of rain there were fewer cars than usual so they were letting in quite a few cars which were merely fast or ‘interesting’ as opposed to modified or ‘souped up’. This Porsche 912, my favourite of the morning, certainly wasn’t heavily modified – in fact it looked pretty much like it had been restored to perfection with its glossy orange paintwork. I did take some other shots too but this one was my favourite – too many of the others were compromised people getting in the way or reflections from the sky.

I was just talking today about the car show thing i went to at Hopetoun House..saying that the weather made the day..a beautiful sunny day and that if it hadn't been so sunny there definitely would have been a poorer turn out.The weather really makes or breaks these sort of events sometimes...Love the photo..I have still to photograph a classic jag that has won loads of shows..friend of my partner owns it ..must try to do that soon. elizzi · 2010-10-03: 19:53
