An Advent masterpiece

Last week my friend Sharon told me that she’d be sending me a parcel through the post, that it wasn’t a Christmas present and that I was to open it when it arrived. All very mysterious....

It arrived this morning and I discovered, to my delight, that it’s an Advent calendar – made by Sharon herself. She knows our love of cats so every pocket is adorned with one and she has provided little surprises to go in each pocket, along with instructions that Kevin and I shouldn’t fight over them! As I’ve been working on the computer all day today (in an attempt to keep the rest of the weekend free for more pleasurable pastimes) it seemed an obvious choice for my photo of the day. Thank you Sharon – it’s absolutely wonderful and I can’t wait until Wednesday to see what’s inside the first pocket!

What a great friend she must be - I've got one of these in my sewing basket which has been there for quite a few years waiting to be completed! Such fun to have one present a day during December.
