Swinging through time and space (almost the theme!)

I must admit to cheating a little for today’s ‘swing’ theme – my subject is one I’ve used before and it’s not really swinging. However, my free time is very limited on a Wednesday and by the time I had the chance to find anything else that swings it was well and truly dark outside so that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!

I found this feather when I visited the Wildfowl and Wetland Centre in Arundel last year and it’s been in my ‘bits and pieces’ tin ever since ready for just such occasions. I did try to capture it swinging but I couldn’t quite find the right shutter speed in the time available which gave a sense of movement without completely blurring the feather. Perhaps I’ll experiment with that another time.....

Maybe it isn't completely in the theme, but I find that its shape, its colored lines give all the same a good idea of the swing !
