Lucy had her first trip to the vet this morning for her 10,000 mile check up and was introduced to Tiekie, the wonderful lady who has looked after Gracie and Bob, her feline predecessors. Tiekie was a big fan of Gracie and Bob and was delighted to meet our new arrival. Lucy was rather stressed by the experience (apparently the sweaty pawprints she left on the table were the clue – you learn something new every day!) but Tiekie soon calmed her down and gave her a full inspection. She was given a clean bill of health and we’re now fully equipped with the wherewithal to keep fleas at bay and some dry food which should be better for her teeth. When we got Lucy home again she disappeared under our bed in a huff for a few minutes but it wasn’t long before she was back on lookout duty at the window. After a few minutes she was momentarily distracted by the sound of Kevin clattering around in the kitchen and I couldn’t resist this very alert looking portrait as she tried to figure out what she was hearing.
