A smoggy day (in London Town)

They had some carts of art materials for entertaining the younger visitors and I was rather taken with this moment as this young girl made something with her grandmother.
Big Brother is watching.... This couple were completely oblivious to the fact that Stalin and the chap in the painting behind were apparently watching them as they planned their route around the gallery!
Self portrait.... and no, I haven't posted it the wrong way up! This concave mirror turned everything in the gallery upside down, including me.
I did take some photos of the exhibits too. This beautiful sculpture was part of a display of 'single forms' in the central gallery.
I travelled to London today for the second time in a week, although this time for work. As the train took me past Battersea Power Station I was amazed by the thick smog enveloping it and the Gershwin song about foggy London immediately sprang to mind.

I had a couple of hours to spare when I arrived in Pimlico so I headed for Tate Britain, somewhere I’ve been meaning to visit for ages. Besides the fascinating paintings and sculptures it turned out to be a great place for people watching and I found myself taking surreptitious photos of people as I mooched around the galleries.
karmankwarner What a wonderful set. I love the first one. She is sharing her wisdom; even if they are only chatting. :)

Yetloh Terrific human interest observational shots, Helen. I particularly enjoyed the Stalin shot which is a great commentary on the police state regime he presided over.
