I had a lovely day with my friend Chris today, combining a spot of computing, some tasty grub and a country walk. Chris is a relative newbie with computers so I offered to teach him how to create tables in Word documents and he suggested we follow that with lunch at his local pub. After an hour or so wrestling with the computer we set out to walk across the fields to the pub, a very traditional country establishment called the Hampshire Bowman. During lunch we were joined by the adorable resident dog, Archie who, on realising he wasn’t going to get any of our food, settled next to us on the bench seat and promptly fell asleep with his head resting on Chris’s leg!
