My friend Sharon (who is pretty well entirely responsible for getting me so heavily into photography!) broke her leg this week. I had a concert in Lechlade, close to where she lives, yesterday so I popped in to see her beforehand. We’ve been to the Cotswold Wildlife Park together a number of times in the past and we both visited within a week or two of the arrival of two baby ringtail lemurs this spring. As Sharon is now sofa-bound for several weeks she gave me instructions to go and see how the youngsters were getting on and to get some cute photos of them – how I could I possibly say no?! The babies (christened William and Kate by the staff in honour of Prince William and his new bride!) have grown a lot since March. While they still spent some time clinging to Mum, one of them was very lively indeed and spent much of my visit bouncing around as though it had springs in its legs. By contrast, the meerkats seemed a little more chilled out, lazing in the warm sunshine, and I couldn’t resist adding to my growing portfolio of photos of them!
