When Kevin and I went down to Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth today I took my little compact camera along as I felt like travelling light for a change. This apartment block dominates the skyline there and I’ve always liked its combination of strong, straight lines leading to a curving roofline. I tried a variety of compositions, including some that completely excluded the skyline, but I thought this one worked best, especially when converted to black and white to emphasise the lines further still.
