For today’s theme I dug out a model Mini that one of my pupils gave me as a gift some years ago. My intention was to give a sense of TI by juxtaposing the tiny model with my full sized Mini, although this proved harder than I’d expected. I found if I got close enough to the model to make it look significant in the frame it made my Mini look ridiculously bloated but if I backed away the model looked absolutely tiny! I eventually found a reasonable compromise to create an effective photo and followed it up with a shot of the model on my car’s roof, framed against the threatening sky behind.

The “Tuesday Inspiration” began in 2009 when Stefan and I started setting each other a photographic challenge on a… Tuesday. Very soon afterwards, we decided to open this up to other PB members, followed by the idea that we should not reveal what the subject is, so that other members could compare how different members view a single theme. The Tuesday Inspiration is not a contest or a challenge, but a group of people all agreeing to post their interpretation of a single theme on Tuesdays. Each week, one of the contributors sets the theme. There are now over 40 members contributing to the TI. We have only two “rules”: don’t include the subject in the TI title or tags and please comply with standard PB guidelines on courtesy, etc. If you would like to take part, please send me a message via this blog.

I've lost touch with Tuesday Inspiration lately, so I don't have a clue what the theme is this week. Scale? I love that second shot. I wouldn't have guessed it was a model, without being told. The reflection on the bonnet (floor) makes it really unusual and the angle reminded me of the old Range Rover adverts with the very steep inclines. Jarvo · 2011-08-30: 17:53

You know these shots, both shots, are really beautiful? I do not usually like commenting the photo, saying only "beautiful", but these are incredible. The second is perfect for an advertising campaign, I think car manufacturers should give you a prize. Really. And the first photo ... well ... I have no words, stop!
