I cycled into Chichester to run a few errands this morning while the weather was fine (it’s pouring with rain now so I timed my trip very well!) and stopped off on my way home to see the two horses behind the Roman Palace. I’ve made friends with these horses over recent weeks, stopping to say hello each time I’ve cycled past and this one in particular is very friendly. Last week when I cycled to the supermarket I bought a couple of carrots which I fed to them on my return journey. They absolutely loved this unexpected treat, gobbling them up with great enthusiastic and much noisy crunching. When I stopped by today I could sense that he was expecting me to have brought more and when it became obvious I hadn’t he had a nibble of the handlebars on my bike instead! Note to self - must add carrots to my weekly shopping list!
