Despite a drop in temperatures over the last couple of days the trees in this neck of the woods are doggedly doing their best to stay green – not much help when you’re trying to shoot for an autumn theme! I did go to the woods up at Goodwood after lunch in search of autumnal colour but apart from a few beech leaves on the ground everything was still looking very green. Hopefully in a week or two things will have started to change...
Although it’s not relevant to the theme I couldn’t resist photographing the heron which was sitting on our neighbour’s roof as I left for school this morning. He looked very regal in the early morning sunshine so I grabbed my long lens and shot off a few frames before he flew off in search of some fish from the local garden ponds for breakfast!
I like the "road not taken" look of the first one, even though it's still green. It should look great when the colors start popping! :)
I like this not still autumnal stroll which you propose us. Here, it's the similar: trees persist in remaining green, and I understand perfectly that you were not able to resist the majesty of this magnificent heron
