I found this old sign outside the Foxton Locks Museum and rather liked the contrast between the weathered metal sign and the red brickwork.

That is so interesting....would be truly wonderful if it was restored! Great perspective looking down the way....and yes, the color and texture in #2 is very nice!

What an amzing structure. I have never seen such a set-up. Only river locks for massive barges!!

Very interesting! I love how you go out of your way to discover and photograph scenes in the area where you live! We all have so much in our own backyard and never take the time to explore. Bravo!

I think it's a fine line between leisurely and tedious... I love the perspective of the locks but I can't imagine having to work my way through that lot on a regular basis.
