We’re spending Boxing Day with my parents and my Dad took great delight in showing us his newest acquisition for his woodworking workshop – a Festool Domino machine (whatever that is!) which my Mum gave him for Christmas. It struck me as a good subject for a close up photo so I borrowed Dad’s tripod and shot a few frames. While I was in the workshop my Dad suggested I also shoot one of his many planes. He’s got several of these planes, made by Karl Holtey
, and they are real works of art – wonderfully sculptural and perfectly made.
