After a day spent working in sunny Petersfield I was rather surprised to a complete change of weather as I drove over the South Downs. By the time I neared home the sunshine and blue skies were far behind me and everything was shrouded in mist. I found this lone tree in a field near Lavant where it was surrounded by green grass and yellow flowers. I thought it might make an effective monochrome image and by applying a red filter in Silver Efex Pro I’ve been able to bring out the flowers in the foreground.

The composition of this is perfect Helen. These are the kind of shots I dream of creating. Based on his photos, I am certain that David is a much better photographer than I will ever be, but I disagree with his opinion anyway. I love the foreground.
