I had plans to photograph a soup spoon to cover both elements of today’s circles and symmetry theme. However, I’d overlooked the fact that spoons are very reflective objects and when I tried my chosen composition I just ended up with lots of ugly reflections. With limited time before I started teaching again I hurriedly cast around the house for an alternative subject and hit upon this Stella Artois bottle, something I’ve used on several previous occasions. Thanks to the highlights created by the sunshine it’s not a completely symmetrical image (that and the fact that I found an off-centre composition worked better) but I have at least fulfilled the circular element of the theme!
