I’ve always had a unique talent for killing pot plants – no matter what the species I seem to offer them just the wrong combination of neglect and lack of water. However, two of my pupils, Chantel and Charlie, gave me orchids as thank you presents when they went off to university over the last couple of years and these plants seem able to cope with my unique nurturing techniques and both of them have survived against the odds. With luck they’ll continue to flourish and I’ll be able to photograph them many more times!

fabulous macro . You are lucky I HAD three orchids but they all look rather worse for the wear I'm hoping one at least will flower again. My pot plants don't seem to survive much in my house either and I really like to see real flowers in my house. MoMac · 2012-04-06: 13:40
