Taking stock (1504th Photoblog post)
I’ve been meaning to take a photo of the blossom on our apple tree for a few days but haven’t had the right weather for it until now. The sun finally reappeared today (although the rain is predicted to return tomorrow) so I grabbed the opportunity to catch a few shots this afternoon. The tree has lots of blossom on it this year but it’s anyone’s guess as to how many apples these flowers will result in - since we moved here five years ago our crop has varied from three to three hundred apples!
Over a year ago I realised I’d missed marking my 1000th post here on Photoblog so I planned to do something for my 1500th post instead. However, when I checked where I was up to this morning I realised I’d overshot yet again – my 1500th post was actually last Thursday and I missed it! I can’t quite believe I’ve posted over 1500 sets of photos here – it only seems like yesterday that I started my blog. However, the hard drive I store my photos on tells me it’s been longer than that (I’ve just bought a 2TB drive to create some room for more!) and as of the 9th November 2012 I will have been posting at least one photo here every single day for four years. I can see I’ll just have to mark my 2000th post in my diary and make sure I do something to celebrate then – no doubt that day will come round very quickly. In the meantime, thank you to everyone here on PB for your friendship and words of encouragement. Knowing that you are looking at my photos from time to time makes it easy to keep up my daily shooting alongside my musical schedule.
