I've never had much luck with Mandarin Ducks before but this one seemed very happy to pose for me today.
The White Faced Whistling Ducks were very inquisitive this morning. I found myself being followed by five of them at one point!
The sun peeped through just as I snapped the shutter for this shot, making the water droplets sparkle nicely.
This particular Eider Duck was limping and eventually decided to sit down instead of trying to outrun all the photographers. I don't know if ducks can look disdainful but I think this one does!
The baby moorhens were very cute - I can't help but hope this one will eventually grow into its legs!

I thoroughly enjoyed this set of quirky, disdainful and just plain beautiful birds, they could be straight from the pages of a RSPB guide book, the details are so crisp and clear...
