Today’s ‘up close and personal’ theme is the perfect one for me as I love macro photography. I cast around the house for a suitable subject I could zoom in on and when I found these nail scissors I initially planned to do something with the blades. However, as soon as I started shooting I realised the handles had some lovely curves which would create a great abstract shot and once I’d found my favourite composition those curves just cried out to be converted into black and white. Fifteen minutes after I started, my work here is complete – if only all themes were so simple to shoot for!
