I arrived at Southampton Airport rather early this afternoon to meet my friends Mary and Jim from their flight so I decided to sit in the airport’s coffee shop and do a little people watching while I waited. I’d brought my camera and nifty-fifty lens along so when I saw people who interested me I tried a little surreptitious photography, using the live view function to focus without having to lift the camera to my eyes. Unfortunately my 22 year old lens’s autofocus system is rather buzzy so I had to choose my moment so as not to give away what I was trying to do!

Good for you to be able to photograph people in public! Heck I don't even take shots of wildlife if anyone else is around or watching. Great shots! I really like the older gentlemen conversing and siping tea or coffee or whatever. I only drink water or Mtn. Dew so I am not hip to what people drink. Super shots! SheriJ · 2012-06-15: 23:02
