I conducted a concert with the Thames Valley Recorder Orchestra in Cookham Church this afternoon. After a successful concert we all adjourned to the Parish Rooms for a delicious cream tea, provided by the ladies of the village. It was only afterwards that I turned my thoughts towards finding my daily photo. As I walked back through the churchyard I noticed this bench in the corner in what seemed like a green oasis of calm and tranquillity after the hectic afternoon I’d just had – I was very tempted to sit here a while and enjoy the view but decided instead to head for home.
