I’ve spent today doing last minute preparations for this weekend’s CD recording. I’ve had a little time to study my scores but most of the work has been practical matters such as printing signs and double checking I have everything I need for the weekend. This afternoon I met up with Paul, our recording engineer, at the recording venue and we got the recital room set up, with his microphones in place and players’ names on each seat. I’ve been mostly travelling light, photographically speaking, this week so as not to aggravate the shoulder injury I acquired at summer school last week. However, even with only my little point and shoot camera to hand I felt this moment of calm before the storm merited a photo on my blog. Let’s hope we don’t realise we’ve forgotten anything crucial before the morning!
