9:27 am eastern standard time. A dead digital camera (my digital camera) was discovered in the lower right pocket of my charcoal cargo shorts while commuting northward on a Manhattan bound 5 train.

The NYC Coroner was called to the scene, and the camera was not to be moved until the coroner arrived.

NYC MTA spokesman, said there are still many unknowns about this situation.

"We assume this camera who was a product of Japan, but right now we don't know that information," health officials said.

According to officials, the camera probably snapped 300-400 pictures per week and that means the interior temperatures could be as high as 150 degrees celsius, making it very likely that this camera suffered a heat stroke.

At this point, it isn't know what other circumstances may play a role, such as foul play.
