THEME--VINTAGE

2008.04.30
I would love to ride one of these!
J'aurais tellement aimé monter un tel vélo!

This bicycle, nick-named the" Penny-Farthing", was invented at Coventry (Great Britain) in 1875 by Rowley Turner and James Starley. It was named after the largest and smallest English copper coins of the period.(The biggest-- the penny ,and the smallest-- the farthing)
Sorry that the penny isn't in better condition!

And now, you tell me the exact name and story behind it! Thanks! :))) I will post them with a special dedication to you! :))))))
