Thankyou for the history... it's always far more interesting to learn straight from the horse's mouth! A desolate iamge, but one for posterity

Everybody remembers Walesa and Solidarnosc. The buildings are destroyed, the workers left. But what they made a success is always here. Moving photos ...

A wonderful set with history and great first hand experience. #5 to my faves. It reminds me so much of the factories I worked in when younger. Walesa - a hero indeed!!!

What an interesting story behind these images! It does look deserted and all that graffiti seals it's fate. It is the same in many places here too. Once thriving factories are now empty shells that stand only as reminders of days gone by. Well done for the theme Maggie!

Je me souviens très bien de cette période durant les années 80 ! Un fol espoir était né. Merci Maggie d'égréner tes souvenirs avec nous

An interesting story and a wonderfully put together post for the theme, Maggie! So good there are cameras and photographers like you who can capture this history before it is gone....before time takes it away.
