St. Mary's Basilica is a brick gotic church re-built in the 14th century (originally built in the early 13th century), adjacent to the Main Market Square in Kraków, Poland. Standing 80 m (262 ft) tall, it is particularly famous for its wooden altarpiece carved by Veit Stoss. It is the largest Gothic Altarpiece in the World and a national treasure of Poland. It is located behind the Communion table. The altarpiece was carved between 1477 and 1489 by the Bavarian sculpter Veit Stoss (Wit Stwosz) who moved to the city at around that time and lived there for the next 20 years. It was funded by the citizens of Kraków at the cost of over two thousand gulden.

You see... I'm also late to enter in this absolutely fantastic basilica, richly decorated, but being late, the church is not so crowded and I love to be alone in a church. Wonderful set Maggie, you have great constructions in Poland.
