I'm back at Cat Ba Island.
a relatively small island in Halong bay...

you can see these fishing ships strobing at night with different color fluorescents. I hear that they were to identify boats from each other.

not a lot to do here
a couple of ok beaches worth a swim if you've got the time,
I'd also recommend renting a motobike for a day to wander the whole island. There are a lot of little nooks here that contain the only real culture of the island. check 'em out!

decent hotels here for sure.
