Adrrenaline and dust!

2008.07.26
Day started off at 5am with me trying to figure out how to use my neices camera. Mine is completely dead atm. I am going to try to ressurect it tonight.

My brother had kittens. Earlier I tried to cook some eggs, evidently some that had been given to him by someone who raises chickens. They tasted decidedly like fish, so I gave them to the kittehs. They nom nom nomed them up and were so happy they ran around playing.

... with my car.

Jason had to work half a day, so my neice and I decided to to riding. We found a bridge, litterally to nowhere.

Over this.

As it was explained to me, the Ouachita native ammericans used to take saplings and tie them to the ground pointing in the general direction of the closest source of water. This could be one of those trees, or another tree could have fallen accross it and rotted off its end, either way, it was worth a photo.

One of the great things about riding down the miles and miles of roads is that you come around a corner, and the road periodically dissapears.

I have no idea what this is.

Sometimes the roads get real big.

There are a lot of oil wells around this area of Arkansas. This is what is left when they move one.

You can't ride too far without seeing a clear cutting. Basically they strip the land of all sellable lumber. These things always mildly piss me off, even though I own land that is being clear cut. Go figure.

Stow Lake, or part of it at least.

My neice took a big foot pic of me.

pretty.

We tracked down some dear.

Lack of road.

Some wells are too big to move. I wonder, if some future generation will find these and wonder at them the way we wonder at stonehenge.

My neice messes up pics in the most unique way.

Looking up from the hammock.
