The city walls around York are a great place to see the Minster from - as the church owns quite a lot of the property on that side of the city and preserves the gardens to a very high standard. This frames the Minster very nicely.
The first picture was taken into the October sun towards the Minster, while gardeners were tending a small bonfire. (I loaded this picture onto my work laptop and, unlike my Mac, this PC doesn't display ISO, aperture or shutter speed information.)
The second two pictures are obviously of the same view but with different apertures and speeds - and I much prefer the first as it makes the Minster appear ethereal. Appropriate for an edifice like that.
Finally, Darling Wifey took this picture of a bubble tube in a multisensory play area for disabled children. It's bubbles in water with a light shining through them.
