It's been a few years since we were in Prague.
These photos were taken on our old Canon Cybershot pocket camera.
While we were there, a "Cow Parade" was happening, with decorated cows appearing in the most unexpected places. Darling Wifey liked the Luis Vuitton cow, but this is my photoblog so I am going for my favourite - a cow waiting for the bus home.
On the Charles Bridge over the Vltava River is this statue of the Crucifix, adorned with a short quotation, in Hebrew, from the Prophet Isaiah ("Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Hosts.") - apparently put there originally as punishment to a local Jew for debasing the Crucifix. Theologically speaking, given that Jesus was crucified because of the claim he made to the Hebrew Godhead, this combination of Jewish and Christian icon is very powerful.
Finally, and on a more flippant note, anyone who loves an Irish joke will enjoy this last photograph.
