That is cool. What is the story of the tradition? aren't these wafers quite plain,unlike biscuits? great photo.

The wafer sharing tradition is from 18th centaury and survived only in Poland and Lithuania. During Christmas Eve ( in Polish "Wigilia") when the first star appears at the sky the whole family gets together. First the head of house takes wafer ( in Polish "oplatek") and wishing all the best distributes the wafer ( it is plain, 1mm thickness) to all participant.
