Hallyu, se réfère à la diffusion de culture coréenne du sud dans le monde entier.
Le terme a été inventé en Chine au milieu de 1999 par des journalistes de Beijing étonnés par la popularité en forte croissance du divertissement et la culture coréenne en Chine particulièrement la musique pop coréenne et le drama coréen.

Hallyu, refers to the spread of South korean culture around the world.
The word was coined in China in mid-1999 by Beijing journalists surprised by the fast growing popularity of Korean entertainment and culture in China especially the Korean pop music and korean drama.
