L’école du sud coréenne ou la peinture spontanée et monochrome
Ce genre de peinture sert principalement à faire naître des émotions et des idées. L’image est libre et plus spontanée.
Les grands thèmes picturaux sont: L’orchidée, le prunier, le chrysanthème et le bambou qui faisaient partie de la famille des quatre plantes nobles de la saison (selon les artistes lettrés de la période de Choson - codification purement confucéenne).
Symbolique : Le chrysanthème représente l’automne.
C’est la fleur qui représente le mieux l’attitude confusionniste parfaite : loyauté, courage et fidélité.
Le chrysanthème fleurit qu’il vente, qu’il pleuve ou qu’il neige !

This kind of painting used mainly to create feelings and ideas by free and more spontaneous way.
The big pictorial themes are the orchid , the plum tree, the chrysanthemum and the bamboo (the four noble plants of period). That is according to the well-read artists of the Choson period - purely Confucian codification.
Symbolism: the chrysanthemum represents the autumn.
This flower represents the perfect confusionist way of life: loyalty, courage.
The chrysanthemum decorates with flowers that it is windy, that it rains or that it snows!
