Cavite trip, part 2

2008.03.17
Of course, a monument to the governor. (I'm being sarcastic.)

A clock monument...

an unidentified one...

and the monument to Rizal (who looks weird).

Outside the waiting area at the ferry (we snuck out; we were supposed to stay inside. Well, we asked permission to stay for a while just to take pictures, but ended up staying there until it was boarding time).

Inside the ferry!

Beautiful sky, choppy waves. Could I have asked for a better start for summer?

Fish traps... :(

Ghost ship

They seemed running after us; they kept following us when we were at the middle of the bay. They were so beautiful.

Amazing experience, this was for me.

They put up tents for watchers, according to F. These are fishing spots; underneath, the fish are netted.

Needless to say, I'll never look at Manila Bay the sameway again.

The Folk Arts Theatre from afar!

The Mall of Asia! I got excited when I finally saw our destination. 45 minutes! A bus ride would've taken us around 3 hours.

When we arrived at the mall, we were famished, so we bought three of these scrumptious Vigan empanadas.

Later at night, my family joined me and we had dinner at Chicken Bacolod Inasal. This was the molo soup.

And my chicken inasal!

And the chicken sisig

Despite the choppy waves, I'm glad I didn't end up with blurred pictures! I had so much fun at the almost-empty boat. We were the only ones taking pictures. We didn't even stay in the seats; we went to the back and sat cross-legged, taking pictures and drinking in the sights. What a lovely experience. I wish to do it again soon.
