Ilocos part 5: Vigan Cathedral, Baluarte, and nighttime at the resort

2008.04.19
Looks like a toy, doesn't it? It really is very pretty.

Horse with flower behind the ear!

At the Baluarte. It was feeding time.

Look, they're numbered. It was also like that at Avilon.

This ostrich kept pulling the leaf (to no avail).

Camels! Didn't see any at Avilon.

Hairy orangutan. :-)

Fat, hot cat!

Fountain at the middle of the resort at night.

On the way to the mini zoo. It was too dark to take pictures of the animals, and I was afraid of startling them so I didn't want to use the flash.

It was so dark, I couldn't see this sculpture at all! I just noticed a slab of stone, and I wondered what it was. I took a picture and saw this. Pretty nice!

Next morning, on the way to the beach.

Evy's and my footprints.

Woohoo, water washing my feet!

Amazing sight. And no one was enjoying it, apart from us!

That's me, taking a picture of the sea.

And that's me, washing my feet. :-p

The Vigan Cathedral was a real beaut. The Baluarte, Chavit Singson's own museum, did not hold my attention that much because I've recently been to Avilon Zoo. It has a grassy middle area with waterfalls on the left (yes I forgot to take a picture of that because I was busy shooting the animals!). Nghttime at the resort is quietly beautiful, and the beach early in the morning is calming and yet grand.
