I’m pushing the limit of my 70-200mm f/2.8 lens.
Lighting was good for the game but for photo not so great.
The speed of this game is amazing and I needed to be stuck in one of those bench boxes for spare players so I don’t have the safety fence in my face.
My lens would like to be farther from the game by about 15 ft. I was just too close.
Also I needed to use very high ISO to be able to catch some of that speed. Well there is some noise in those photos, but I thing the action was also captured.
I will return for more photos trying different lens!

Cool action shots but I bet the goalies aren't cool in their gear. I remember being warm on the winter ice in our gear.

great action shots. it took me a minute to realize it wasn't ice hockey :) hahaha! yes, you did capture the action even without using a higher iso but the movement would show more with the higher iso, I think
