ok, the only thing I changed in these two pictures was the f-stop. I think #1 is a more realistic view of what I really saw. More of the oranges, and less of the purple. I didn't take these, thinking I would analyze the heck out of them, but I'm trying to figure out how all those purples got in there! (And even though it's not a true representation of what I saw, it's kind of cool!) Anyway, it was truly beautiful, and my 13-year-old son pointed it out to me. So maybe he's getting an appreciation of the beauty around us!
