Reason to Design... #133:
‘…TO SAVE THE WORLD’
“With the ever increasing rate of natural disasters occurring every year the need for improved rapid response disaster relief vehicles has become apparent.”
This statement made by Adam Schacter is the fundamental justification for the ‘Gibbs A.R.C’ - his amphibious aid delivery and rescue craft that is being exhibited at the Re/active show in Coventry UK. Adam says that it would be best use in areas affected by heavy flooding. It uses high speed amphibian technology including a retractable wheel system to plane across water, enabling it to quickly reach areas that are often unreachable by ordinary land vehicles. Once at its destination the A.R.C can deploy large container units full of anything from food, medicine and shelter, to vital equipment such as water filtration systems that convert contaminated flood water into fresh drinking water.
