London... (#106)
RUN FOR THE PHOTO
My fitness advisers suggested that I keep-up the habit of running by making it an activity rather than a chore. So today I decided that I would take a 6K run to and from a historical landmark in Harrow, a borough of London, to get some photos.

TITHE BARN
Pictured in this blog is Tithe Barn in Harrow Museum. The materials in this building date back to 1506 according to scientific evaluations. It's survival is thought to be remarkable considering the amount of bio-degradable materials used for the construction of this Grade II* Listed building.

BUILDING HISTORY
1506: Construction of Tithe Barn was finished for the total cost of £44 11s 8d
1545: Stratford, Archbishop of Canterbury reluctantly "granted" it to King Henry VIII
1545: King Henry VIII quickly passed it on to Sir Edward North.
1631: The North family passed the building to the Rewse family.
1671: Rewse family passed the building to Sir William Bucknall.
1671 - 1929: Various owners.
1929: Edward York sold the buildings to Hendon Rural District Council.
